How I handle your data.
kariops is a one-person practice. I’m the only person reading what you send me. I don’t share your information, I don’t sell it, and I don’t use it for anything other than replying to you and running this site. This page explains the specifics in plain English.

What I collect, and why
There are three places on this site where any data crosses from you to me.
1. The contact form. When you submit the form at /contact, I receive: your name, your email address, your company name if you choose to share it, and the message you wrote. I use this to reply to you. Nothing else. The form is processed by Formspree (formspree.io), a form-handling service that delivers the submission to my inbox. Formspree’s own privacy policy covers how they handle the transit. I don’t add you to any list, newsletter, or sequence unless you ask me to.
2. The AI Readiness Archetype quiz. When you take the quiz at /ai-readiness-archetype, your answers stay in your browser. The only thing the server stores is an anonymous count of how many times each archetype result has been shown. No name, no email, no IP address tied to your result. The quiz works without you giving me anything, on purpose.
3. Page-view analytics.I use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages get traffic. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and doesn’t track individuals across sites. It records a hashed, anonymized signal per page view that resets daily. I see things like “the services page got 40 views yesterday.” I don’t see who you are or what you do elsewhere on the web.
What I do not collect
- I don’t use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or Facebook Pixel on this site.
- I don’t set tracking cookies. The only cookies present are session cookies for the private admin area I use to update my own site.
- I don’t buy email lists, scrape contact information, or send unsolicited mail.
- I don’t fingerprint browsers or use any cross-site tracking technology.
Who I share data with
I don’t share your information with anyone for marketing, advertising, or resale. The only third parties that touch your data are the ones required to run the site:
- Vercel hosts kariops.com and processes anonymized page-view analytics. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Formspree processes contact-form submissions and forwards them to my inbox. See formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
- Google hosts my email at dohertykariann@gmail.com. When you email me or I reply, Google handles the transit. See policies.google.com/privacy.
I will share your information if law-enforcement compels me by valid legal process. I have never received such a request, and I will tell you if I do, unless legally prohibited.
How long I keep your data
Contact-form submissions live in my email inbox indefinitely as part of normal correspondence. You can ask me to delete the thread at any time, and I will. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Vercel per their default policy. Anonymous quiz counts are aggregate numbers with no link to any individual; they persist indefinitely.
Your rights
You can email me at dohertykariann@gmail.com to request any of the following:
- A copy of anything I have that connects to your name or email.
- Deletion of your contact-form correspondence with me.
- Correction of inaccurate information.
If you’re a California resident under CCPA, an EU resident under GDPR, or covered by another similar regime, those same rights apply. I’ll honor a verified request within 30 days.
Children
kariops.com is a business-to-business site and isn’t directed at children under 13. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you’re a parent who believes your child has sent me information, email me and I’ll delete it.
Security
The site runs on Vercel’s infrastructure with TLS encryption end-to-end. Form submissions move over HTTPS. I keep my admin credentials in a password manager and use two-factor authentication on my Google account. No system is bulletproof, and I make no warranty against breach beyond what’s commercially reasonable.
Changes to this policy
If I change how I handle data, I’ll update this page and change the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes that affect data you’ve already sent me will be communicated by email to the address on file.
